Think big, because that is exactly what you are going to get. The Aloha State is the most isolated of all 50 states, meaning you will truly have your very own intimate vacation.

Picture yourself escaping from reality and retreating to a place full of natural wonders, such as tropical plantations, black sand beaches, and lava-strewn deserts. Try snorkelling with manta rays, sailing along the Konda Coast, or drive into one of the world’s most active volcanoes. You're bound to have the time of your life.

The Big Island urges glampers to put their feet up and indulge in a little pampering in the best glamping sites, too. There really is no place more welcoming than Hawaii. These guests certainly fell in love with the Big Island and these luxury accommodations. Hear what they had to say about it!

"The tree house is a truly unique experience" alt Treehouse Hotel Located Next to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, Big Island, Hawaii

“The tree house is a truly unique experience. It is close to the Volcano National Park, which is great. It definitely has more creature comforts then you'd ever expect to have in a tree house, but not as much as a hotel (obviously). The owner is really nice, the bed is super comfy, and the hot tub is certainly unique and a nice perk.”

"Gorgeous home with new construction" alt Exquisite Hawaiian Cottage Tucked Away in a Rainforest near Active Volcanoes

Gorgeous home with new construction. Extremely clean. Complete kitchen and open dining/living room that is perfect for a party of six. Each bedroom with a large and comfortable bed. The patio has a lovely hot tub and stacked wood, which is perfect for lighting a fire in the living room's wood stove.”

"One thousand stars!" alt Spa Eco Retreat in the Big Island, Hawaii

“We had the best time. So beautiful! Everything was wonderful from the pool to the yurts to the main house. One thousand stars! Location was away from all of the touristy junk but a close drive to all of the wonderful beaches. Make sure you take a dip in the pool :)”

“Their infinity pool was so tranquil! We zip-lined and ATV-ed while staying there so coming back to such a nice, quiet setting was beautiful. Our breakfast was included and I wasn't expecting much but a continental breakfast but wow! I still think the breakfast is what I am going to miss the most! Our chef/breakfast artist Rebecca was wonderful! Each morning we had a plateful of fruit—all grown right there on property!"

"We recommend this beautiful little paradise!" alt Chic Eco Yurt on Big Island in Pahoa, Hawaii

“We had a wonderful time. We give four stars for everything. It is a wonderful place. The yurt was bigger than we thought and a modern facilities like a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom are provided. Delia is an excellent host, you can tell she wants to do everything possible to make sure we are comfortable and and have a great time on the island, which we did! We recommend this beautiful little paradise!”

"We particularly love the luxurious hanging bed." alt Secluded, Stylish Tree House in Fern Forest on the Island of Hawaii

We thought we would add our very own review of this two-tiered, stylish tree house, as it is one of our personal favourites. We particularly love the luxurious hanging bed on the lower deck, which creates the perfect utopia to relax in while looking out of the floor-to-ceiling windows that give away to 360-degree views of the tropical forests.

The luxury tree house is surrounded by nature reserves and national parks, including Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park. Seclusion and intimacy are a big part of what guests can experience, truly enforcing the principles of principles of glamping.
