Remote and Refined

By Abby Jeffords

Men’s Journal recently sent Ryan Van Duzer, travel journalist and cycling enthusiast, to investigate the rapidly-growing tendency in adventure travel, glamping. Ryan arrives at this beautiful Glamping Hub property in Montana to begin the first installment of their “Remote and Refined” video series of Men’s Journal-approved sites. “Usually when you go over the river and through the woods you get to Grandma’s house,” Van Duzer muses as he pulls into the resort, “but I don’t know many grandmas that live in this kind of style.”

While exploring a safari tent that would put any five-star hotel to shame, Van Duzer points out the down comforter, walk-in shower, and beautiful décor. The best part? Heated floors!

Leaving no stone unturned at this beautiful glamping site, Ryan experiences horseback riding, ATV tours, archery, and lastly, rock climbing. A descent down 167-foot cliff reveals breathtaking views of the surrounding pine forest, winding river, and those big Montana skies.

What would glamping be without a little pampering? This site also offers a full service spa on site, as well as a 24-hour butler service and gourmet cuisine. Van Duzer sums it up best when he says,“This is totally the confluence of luxury and nature.”
